About the Role
We currently have an opportunity for an experiencedMaintenance Fitter to operate out of our Beenleigh branch. The role is full time and permanent.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Adopt, promote and encourage the Supagas Safety Vision: Think Safe, Work Safe, Live Safe.
- Maintenance & repair of industrial gas, LPG and dry ice production systems. Minimise equipment down time.
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance of production / filling plants, customer installations, tanker & ISO’s including all related activities.
- Promote the Supagas “Yes we can” attitude in achieving internal & external customer requests.
- Operate Pronto and MEX as required. This entails the printing of work orders, completion of associated maintenance task, filing of completed work orders and updating Pronto and MEX as new equipment is installed.
- Ensure that all work, both on and offsite, is carried out using the work permit system.
- Assist with drafting and updating of Supagas standard operating procedures as required.
- Determine if a Ready for Start-up Review (RFSR) is required prior to the start / restart of plant and to appoint the person responsible for the start-up process. The determination will be assisted by and findings in associated Risk Assessments or completed JSA’s.
- Assist in ensuring that all spare parts are stored and catalogued.
- Ensure that production in each section is progressing as per instructions from the Production Manager.
- Any other reasonable tasks as instructed by your direct supervisor.
- Other general duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- General understanding of gases, gas production and cylinder filling.
- Has a technical orientation. This involves the theoretical understanding of gas production and gas processes.
- Has the capacity to take strong, decisive action in response to business performance issues prioritising safety.
- Hold a Valid forklift licence.
- Must have the drive to achieve and the ability to persuade and influence others
- The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment medical examination.
