Operating in Australia for over 18 years, your new company is a leading national supplier breakfast cereals, muesli and nutritional snacks including bars, popcorn and extrusions in Australia. Currently experiencing an increase in production and demand, your new company is seeking multiple highly skilled and motivated maintenance Fitter to join their team on both afternoon & night shifts.
Your new role
Operating within the Maintenance Team, your new role will see you working within a food manufacturer with a culture-first environment. Your main duties will include preventative and reactive maintenance as well as assisting with planned shutdowns. You will have a proactive approach to maintenance as you work with the maintenance team to locate and identify potential faults to be rectified.
What you'll need to succeed
- A strong knowledge of mechanical engineering
- Completed a Certificate III in Engineering as part of an apprenticeship or TAFE course.
- At least 2-4 years experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry
- Flexibility to work Sat or Sun.
- Must be a team player but also able to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be fluent in English and have the ability to engage others to listen and follow instructions.
- A confident and approachable personality that can interact with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
