Position: Maintenance Fitter - Afternoon Shift
We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Afternoon Shift team. This role is essential in maintaining our operations, ensuring our machines run smoothly and reliably. You’ll assist with breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance, ensuring top quality for Studco products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with employees at all levels.
- Maintain confidentiality, especially regarding customer and supplier details.
- Follow communication protocols with staff, customers, and suppliers.
- Work as a team and seek help when needed.
- Manage time efficiently to complete tasks promptly.
- Uphold Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) requirements.
- Assist in selecting materials and methods, adhering to OH&S standards.
- Follow instructions from the Maintenance Manager/Coordinator.
- Use various machinery and hand tools.
- Perform assembly work (bolting, screwing, etc.).
- Handle delivery and pickup of tooling and spare parts.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and corrective maintenance.
- Complete maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs.
- Train operators for routine checks.
- Perform root cause analysis for critical failures and implement countermeasures.
- Maintain control of critical spare parts and organize the spare parts store.
- Use our system to track work orders and tasks.
- Enter data into the maintenance program.
Qualifications:
- Fitter and Turner certification.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to perform manual work.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- High attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Forklift license (advantageous).
- Current Driver’s License (essential).
