About the role
To meet the growth of our business, an opportunity is available for a Maintenance Fitter to join our operational team at Bathurst.
- Systematic and optimised use of the maintenance software (SAP PM) for the control, documentation and evaluation of all maintenance activities at all Omya Australia N.S.W Sites
- Effective management of spare parts, this includes ongoing optimisation of the spare parts inventory with regards to the required availability and existing default risk.
- Review, develop and implement structured maintenance procedures, task and documents to continuously improve and enhance plant safety, equipment reliability and efficiencies.
- Liaise with on-site maintenance supervisors and/or project managers to coordinate, plan and execute all defined maintenance and/or project tasks;
- Inspection and correction of all orders in the maintenance system to ensure a uniform representation of the maintenance activities according to the guidelines (order types, activities, billing, etc.).

Skills and experience
- A relevant trade certificate
- Min. 2 Years’ experience in a similar role in an industrial manufacturing environment
- SAP experience is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to undertake long and short term planning for scheduled maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of Assets/Facilities Management
- Proficiency in OH&S
- Highly motivated and results driven with excellent time management skills
- A good team player
- Computer literacy and Microsoft Office suite proficient
- Full driver’s licence
- Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Proof of right to work in Australia is required
