About Ironwood Australia Based in between the beautiful seaside town of Old Bar and Taree, Ironwood is Australia’s most sustainable environmentally friendly timber mill. They supply heavy industrial hardwoods from managed forests to wharf and bridge builders Australia wide.
In turn Ironwood recycle the hardwood which is being replaced in each project – and also re plant trees to replace what is being taken through their future forest replanting scheme. Ironwood also has firewood operations, a laminating plant and wood machining plant……and also supply locally for projects such as fencing and decking. About the Role: We’re on the hunt for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to become an integral member of the team and work closely with the existing long term Maintenance Fitter. The work involves break down repairs, preventative maintenance, and project/ improvement works. Your demonstrated experience in a Manufacturing and Production environment will be utilised to ensure the range of timber Machines, optimising equipment, fixed and mobile plant, materials handling process machines and high-tech automation down time is minimised – proactive, detailed and organised.
