The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will provide maintenance and breakdown support to the production teams at TricorBraun. This will involve resolving breakdown issues on a priority basis and implementing continuous improvements throughout the business.
This role offers a 12-hour shift roster from 6am to 6pm (4 days on, 4 days off), healthy market rates of pay and conditions and free parking on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to breakdown issues and maintenance promptly. Communicate and act upon events that may hinder a timely result with a sense of urgency.
- Conduct planned maintenance on production equipment to ensure improved efficiency and utilisation.
- Assist with technical support for die setters and moulding technicians as and when the need arises.
- Ensure that preventive maintenance programs, routine critical equipment inspections, and corrections are completed as scheduled.
- Complete changeovers on assembly equipment as required for production.
- Comply with relevant company policies regarding HS&E requirements.
- Ensure that the spare parts inventory is always kept up to date, and order new parts to replace any that are used.
- Ensure that housekeeping standards are met and maintained at a high level.
About You
- At least five years of experience as a Maintenance Fitter in FMCG, pharmaceutical, or high-speed, 24/7 production environments.
- Proficient in the use of Lathe, Milling machine and surface grinder.
- General fabrication, including TIG/MIG welding.
- Experience in the maintenance of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Working at heights and a forklift licence is highly desirable
