Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical equipment and identify any potential issues or malfunctions
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to create a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to leadership.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and diagrams
- Excellent understanding of mechanical systems and components
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- PLC understanding is a plus.
- Ability to work independently.
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a related field is preferred
