Maintenance Fitter

Experienced Maintenance Fitter required for Manufacturing business, $90-$100k + Super, No night shifts or weekend work!!

Our client, One of Australia’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of high-quality piping & fitting solutions are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their growing team within their Toowoomba manufacturing facility.

Pay: $90,000 - $100,000 + OT + Super.

Hours: Monday to Friday - 45 hours per week.

Location: Toowoomba, Wellcamp.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is key in the delivery of maintenance and continuous improvement activities. The Maintenance Fitter will focus on safety and monitoring of production assets to ensure optimal plant performance and strategic maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver maintenance and continuous improvement activities while monitoring production assets to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Support strategic maintenance initiatives, including project engineering and the commissioning of new equipment.
• Adopt a solutions-based approach to work, managing planned tasks and unplanned breakdowns safely, efficiently, and effectively.
• Maintain best practice standards to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers.
• Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with the Tooling and Die Setter and Manufacturing teams.
• Support line setup, startup, and running controls.
• Lead proactive risk management for employees and contractors by ensuring SWMS, JSEA, PTW, and other risk management processes are implemented and enforced.

• Possess a strong understanding of equipment maintenance and management processes, concepts, and tools.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, exercising sound judgment skills.
• Adaptability and flexibility to change within a very short time frame.
• A solid understanding of WH&S, with a strong focus and commitment to safety, quality, and environmental practices.
• Effective planning and organizational skills.
• Trade certification in mechanical fitting or a related trade.
