The Role
Based onsite at Kanmantoo Copper Mine, reporting to the Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor, you will be working with a dedicated team of professionals, all striving towards the same goal! You will be a key driver in the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery for planned and corrective maintenance working with a variety of departments on mining mill machinery.
In this critical role, you will be providing hands-on proactive maintenance services to our operational teams who work under a continuous production environment. Your contribution will enable improved machine safety, uptime and performance so we can continue our journey underground. Ideally you will have experience in a Mine Maintenance role with exposure to pumps, crushers, hydraulics and conveyors and will have worked on mines previously. You will be safety driven and will be flexible, adaptable and a strong team player with excellent time management skills.
The Fundamentals
The ability to work fast paced and adapt to changing situations, jump between priorities and manage your workload teamed with outstanding communication skills will be essential because let’s be honest, there’s a lot to achieve here in this start-up/scale-up business!
Essential Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Certificate III in Engineering or Fitter & Turner
- Poly welding qualification with both butt weld and electrofusion
- Tickets including Working at Heights, Confined Space, Telescopic Handler, EWP, scissor lift
- Licenses including Forklift, Overhead Gantry Crane, Dogging and Rigging (RI or RA Class)
- Australian drivers license (minimum C Class)
- Senior first aid or be willing to undertake
- Able to pass a full medical
Desired
- License to operate a non-slewing mobile crane
- Diploma of Engineering – Technical
- Incident investigator, incident controller
- HV Switching competency or willing to be trained
