This is one of Australia's largest Independent Iron Foundry's and a market leader in its industry sector, supplying Australian and global rail, automotive and general engineering industries from its production plant in Wingfield, South Australia.
About the role
You would be working in one of the nation's largest and most technologically advanced foundries. Working on automated high-volume production equipment, you will be based within the Engineering/Maintenance Team responsible for all project work, scheduled & unscheduled breakdown maintenance and trouble shooting. Our client offers consistent workflow and service delivery with uncompromised attention to personal WHS protocols.
The position is on dayshift, four days a week, 10 hours per shift with overtime on 5th day as required (typically 5 - 10 hours). On infrequent occasions there will be a requirement to rotate into the nightshift maintenance fitter's role during periods of leave.
Key criteria required
* Australian recognised Mechanical Trade qualifications
* General machining, fitting, and welding skills
* Demonstrated experience in maintaining hydraulic and pneumatics systems
* Ability to perform mechanical gearbox and pump rebuilds
* Physically fit, enthusiastic, great attitude, self-starter with an attention for detail
* Possess the ability to work autonomously and use your initiative whilst being a key player in a successful maintenance team
* Diagnosis and rectification of mechanical machinery issues
* Full medical clearance required
Key Responsibilities for the role
* Experience in a demanding industrial/manufacturing environment.
* Licence to perform High Risk Work (Forklift Licence, EWP).
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
