San Miguel Yamamura Australasia (SMYA) is an established leader in packaging and contract wine filling in Australia and New Zealand. SMYA, a collective packaging specialist is composes of its key group members being, COSPAK, Vinocor, JMP Retail and SANECTOR.
SANECTOR are a dynamic organisation providing the Australian wine & beverage industries a comprehensive range of services relating to bottling, packaging, warehousing and distribution of wine and beverages.
Based at Nuriootpa, this is a key role within a small but growing team requiring flexibility and the drive to perform a wide variety of tasks within the business. The successful applicant must be hands on, willing to get involved in bottling tasks and a team player keen to learn multiple roles across the site.
Production line maintenance experience is essential with a strong preference for beverage filling experience.
This will initially be day shift, but may eventually be rotating day/afternoon shift.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities for the bottling lines, cellar and site services
- Coordinate breakdown activities and prioritise urgent maintenance activities with the Production Manager while adhering to weekly production schedule
- Responsible for managing the maintenance workshop and procurement of spare parts
- Document and develop maintenance activities within the Quality Management System to improve reliability and efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement activities
- Manage and maintain the maintenance budget
- Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with Quality, GMP and HACCP principles
- Responsible for safely managing and coordinating contractors
- Responsible for managing and coordinating the annual maintenance shutdown activities
- Ensure company WH&S policy is adhered to
Your experience and skills:
- Maintenance Fitter with trade qualification
- Ability to work as part of a small team as well as autonomously
- Commitment to exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of GMP and HACCP
- Previous experience on bottling, canning or general production lines will be highly regarded.
