We are a rapidly expanding food manufacturing business located in South West Sydney. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products to our customers and maintaining a state-of-the-art production facility. As part of our growth plans, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical plant and manufacturing equipment.
- Perform installations and assist with commissioning of new lines
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment overall performance
- Collaborate with the production team to minimise downtime and disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs of repairs and preventative maintenance program.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role the following knowledge and skills are required
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing environment.
- A Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and repairing mechanical issues
- Familiarity with Tetra, FOGG, Federal or Shikoku machines is highly advantageous.
- Experience with welding using Oxy, Tig and Mig.
- Experience with machining, and fabricating parts
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced FMCG Environment
