Due to growth in our business, we are seeking 3 x Mechanical Maintenance Fitters to work on a 6-month contract at our Beverley Mine site. You will be part of the site Maintenance team that undertakes a range of maintenance work in the processing plant and across all areas of the mine site. The role will involve:
- Active participation in Heathgate’s commitment to safety and environment.
- Preventative and unscheduled maintenance tasks across the site operations.
- Routine repairs and planned maintenance (equipment, pumps, motors and compressors).
- Fault diagnosis, repair / replace and test malfunctioning apparatus and mechanical components.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment (pumps and cylinders).
- Oxy-acetylene and arc welding, brazing, plasma cutting, MIG and TIG welding.
- Assembly and installation of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper and plastic.
- Pipe connections using threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused, cemented and solvent cemented joints.

A trade qualified Mechanical Fitter, you will also ideally have
- Confined Space, Working at Heights, EWP, Dogman, Forklift.
- Polyethylene Butt Welding Certificate
- Polyethylene Electro Fusion Welding Certificate.
- Elevated Work Platform High Risk Licence.
- C6 Crane Licence, and Scaffolding ticket (up to 4 meters)
