Programmed Facility Management are seeking an experienced an experienced Maintenance General Tradeto join our Geraldton Team, in the Midwest. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides maintenance services to over 18,000 public housing dwellings for the Department of Communities, including Aboriginal communities in remote locations throughout the State.

• $92K+ Super

Reporting to the Branch Supervisor, the Maintenance General Tradewill be responsible for the timely completion of general and reactive maintenance on a PFM’s contract. 

Desirable experience:

• Wall and floor tiling, including waterproofing
• General tiling maintenance
• Painting
• Bathroom refurbishments
• General Handyman tasks

To join our team, you will be an experienced Maintenance General Trade who has experience in a domestic or commercial environment, has excellent attention to detail and a strength for delivering a high quality service without compromise. The incumbent is a key person within the Team, promoting staff morale while displaying a “can do” and “Team Player” attitude. Additionally, you will provide first-class customer service whilst maintaining a commitment to the safety of yourself and others at all times.

Additionally, you will possess:

• Construction White Card (mandatory)  
• Demonstrated experience in Tiling, Painting and general handyman experience
• VALID C Class (mandatory)
• Australian Working Rights
• Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
• Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
• Trade based competencies (desirable)

Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:

• Ability to process work orders electronically i.e. Web based or computer software systems
• Ability to work in a Team; be a self-motivator and take instructions.
• Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills.
• Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others, at all times.
