About the role
Our Little National Hotels are all about the little details making a big impact on our guest experiences. As a Maintenane/Handy Person, you will assist in carrying out repairs and maintenance of the property’s equipment, systems and facilities. Provide service to guests, assist other employees and departments as necessary to keep their equipment and space in operating condition. Ensuring; security, safety and proper operation of all operating equipment.
Responsibilities include;
- review daily work assignments; manage & prioritise assigned projects (including preventative, scheduled & ad-hoc maintenance)
- ensure tools, materials and equipment are functionable in order to complete projects
- perform scheduled equipment and machinery preventive maintenance & maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program
- perform scheduled preventive maintenance for guest rooms
- check lists & reports for maintenance problems; make rounds checking & note any information needed or safety concerns in the hotel.
- perform equipment and machinery repair or replacement as needed including; plumbing, air-conditioning, heating (Boilers) lighting etc
- plant equipment operation & plant inspection tours
What you will bring

- familiarity with safety procedures and WHS.
- experience in a similar maintenance role
- guest focused trades person who can work collaboratively
- roster availability for varied shifts, must be available Saturdays
- attention to detail
- pride in their personal presentation and work
- current White card & full drivers license; are an additional bonus
