Our services include Residential Aged Care, Home and Community Services and Retirement Villages.Our facilities are based at Kensington, Kogarah, Lakemba, Miranda, and Randwick.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Maintenance Officer to join our Property Team at St Basil's Homes at Randwick.About the Role:Reporting to the Property Asset Manager and working closely with our Residential and Community General Managers, this role is responsible for ensuring that our facilities are provided with timely, expert, and customer focused maintenance services. This includes effectively fulfilling record keeping and administrative procedures using our asset management software.We are seeking candidates who operate safely, effectively, and efficiently in maintaining buildings, equipment, and furnishings to a high standard, as well as having regard for the comfort and wellbeing of our consumers. We are looking for someone that rolls up their sleeves to get the job done, takes pride in their work, and importantly, can relate and communicate respectfully with older people. Our Property Team can provide you with on-site training and skills development. Our team work hard, but we also have fun at the same time.The role is based in the Sydney area and from time to time requires attendance at other facilities within the greater Sydney area.Essential Requirements of the Role:
- Great attitude, skilled, flexible, and works well with elderly people.
- Computer skills or a willingness to learn Microsoft Office Suite.
- 3 - 5 years' relevant experience in repairs and maintenance.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, WHS requirements.
- Ability to manage and complete work in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player, collaborative, respectful, and is willing to chip-in.
- Excellent customer service focus.
- Ability to use Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is highly desirable.
- A trade qualification is preferable, but not essential.
