We have an exciting permanent fulltime opportunity for an experienced Maintenance and Grounds Officer. You will be responsible for the upkeep of all our wonderful Disability Support homes across wider Sydney, working Monday to Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm. You will have a vehicle provided and days where you will be working alone or in a team with the help of our supported employees. $25.14 per hour Level 3 Landscaping Services award 2020
Duties:
- Complete property maintenance tasks on homes.
- Care & Maintenance of grounds, gardens & hard surfaces.
- Operating machinery & equipment like ride on mowers, push mowers, edgers, blowers, spray units, fertilizer spreaders.
- Weed lawns, garden beds, mulch garden beds.
- Designing & preparing garden beds and plant out.
- Trimming & pruning shrubs & trees.
- Care & Maintenance of outdoor furniture.
- General maintenance of fences, gates, cloths lines, any outdoor equipment.
- Remove rubbish, debris, broken furniture from sites.
- Keep site appearance to a clean, safe & high standard.
Some of our requirements:
- P2 NSW Drivers Licence or higher
- Availability to work 5 days per week 7:30-3:30 mon-fri
- Working with Childrens check and NDIS Workers check or willingness to obtain
- 3 doses of a Covid-19 vaccine
- 2 years experience as a gardener/horticulturalist.
- Knowledge of lawns, soils, plant care & gardening techniques.
- Ability to operate mowing machinery & lawn care equipment.
