About the opportunity
Specialist Air Management is looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner to support our clients in South Australia. The successful candidates will work closely with the Service Manager and liaise between Operations and all Maintenance departments to ensure consistent execution of jobs by carrying out maintenance works, planning, scheduling, coordinating, managing documentation, and record-keeping for all maintenance work performed in the Service Department.
As an experienced Maintenace Planner, your ability to encourage employee ownership and drive the implementation of new initiatives will be key to success in the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure maintenance work management systems prioritise safety, through; effective planning that anticipates & and prepares for potential hazards and encourages proactive work to reduce the need for potential high-risk tasks.
- Prepare a rolling plan including all work orders from routine maintenance, ensuring maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution are done in an effective manner
· Organise and process purchase orders
- Build and maintain internal documentation for all equipment
- Coordinate and procure contractors required for maintenance tasks
- Obtain spare parts for planned and breakdown maintenance activities when required
- Inspection of equipment/inventory to generate critical spares listings
· Major works control – ensuring all materials are on site, overseeing personnel on the job to ensure correct tagging and JHA’s are in place, and staying within the job to ensure it runs smoothly
· Development of plan (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) to ensure all maintenance and servicing activities are completed as required
· Assist in failure analysis when equipment fails unexpectantly, and provide data, analysis, and advice on maintenance performance as required
The successful applicants will:
- Hold a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree or higher in Mechanical/Electrical or a Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Have more than 2 years of full-time work experience in a Maintenance Coordinator/Supervisor role
- White card
- High-level maintenance knowledge on materials handling and processing equipment.
- Safety-focused and high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization with excellent presentation and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or REVIT
- Simpro knowledge is definitely an advantage.
