Opportunity for 1 x Dragline and 1 x Electrical planner
Plan & Schedule preventative and corrective maintenance activities to improve the overall performance and ensure all performance targets are achieved in cost effective, timely and safe manner.
DiDo/ FiFo on 8/6 roster to Central QLD.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure maintenance work management systems prioritise safety, through; effective planning that anticipate & prepare for potential hazards and encourage proactive work to reduce need for potential high-risk tasks.
- Ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported and are followed up correctly to minimise and manage risk and oversee investigations where required, ensuring that the relevant Occupational Health and Safety Act is complied with at all times.
- Prepare a rolling plan including all work orders from routine maintenance, major overhauls & shut down maintenance work for respective work group and issue a weekly plan to the scheduler.
- Ensure that all work packs (labour, parts, tasks, costs, etc) are uploaded and maintained in Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), Oracle Cloud for system integrity.
- Create and maintain work orders and requisitions (materials and services) in CMMS. Confirm that parts and labour are available prior to releasing work orders to qualify job as “planned”. Develop and maintain PM schedules.
- Order parts/services, obtain quotes, create specifications as required to ensure quality assurance, and allow for future warranty considerations. Liaise with Supply to expedite external parts and contractor labour suppliers, where necessary.
- Update stock levels when necessary; create Catalogue inventory application as required, to avoid stock-outs and ensure supply of parts and rotables as required. Ensure that contractor labour is sourced from preferred suppliers only in order to maintain contractual arrangements and ensure reliable cost-effective service.
- Manage the backlog and enter work orders into the rolling plan.
- Review & update preventative maintenance inspections for activity tasks related to time, costs and including instructions for the inspection.
- Review and update any master data change as per requests or comments from maintenance execution teams or maintenance scheduling team. Assure the QA\QC is complete, and close out work orders with the appropriate completion codes.
- Update component hours on CMMS as per component changeout forms when closing work orders.
- Create and develop routine activity procedures for tasks which re-occur, i.e. analyse frequently occurring Corrective and Reactive Maintenance tasks to develop standard jobs.
- Responsible for rigorous cost management including specifically through optimized maintenance planning, adherence to Supply policy, follow-up on warranty claims and contractor management to ensure all financial information is captured. Assist in preparing the maintenance budget annually.
- Level the labour capacity for execution team and manage the labour requirements and control costs.
- Prepare and issue a weekly maintenance schedule to the maintenance execution team.
- Liaise with Supply to expedite parts and contractor labour suppliers, where necessary. Assure that parts are available at warehouse or issued to workshop prior to scheduling a work in the week schedule.
- Issue high quality work packs for weekly schedule.
- Ensure that shared resources are not overloaded by working with the other schedulers.
- Reschedule any incomplete work orders for a later date.
- Identify routine activity procedures and submit work requests for their creation and completion.
- Review and maintain maintenance master data for 5-year Asset Strategy of respective work group (site code).
- Liaise and notify the Reliability team of any issues relating to asset strategy and condition monitoring that may be received from data coming from completed work orders.
- Comply with all reasonable and lawful instructions that are consistent with your contract of employment.
Essential Qualifications/ Skills
- Tertiary Electrical Trade Certificate (as relevant) for Electrical Planner
- Tertiary Mechanical or Auto Elec Trage Certificate (as relevant) for Dragline Planner
- Minimum of five (5) years in the mining or heavy industry or processing plant with strong working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and CMMS.
- Minimum of two (2) years practical planning experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in mining industry.
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and CMMS (Oracle preferred).
- Current Unencumbered “C” Class Drivers Licence (or equivalent or higher).
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation with excellent presentation and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word..
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Familiarity with the Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations.
- Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards.
