The Role
The Peanut Company of Australia (PCA) processes and markets high-quality peanut products and is Australia's leading supplier of peanuts to domestic and overseas customers. Established in Queensland in 1924 originally as the Peanut Marketing Board, PCA has pioneered the industry, setting international benchmarks in the quality, production, and market development of peanuts.
PCA is deeply involved with all aspects of the peanut processing value chain, from developing new peanut crop varieties to drying and shelling, grading, blanching, sorting, roasting, and granulating the final product. The Maintenance Planner plays a crucial role in Kingaroy and reports directly to the maintenance manager. This position involves proactive planning and scheduling for the Peanuts maintenance team and overseeing the coordination of PM contractor services. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all maintenance and shutdown programs by effectively coordinating contractors and the maintenance teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure planning & scheduling for preventive and creative maintenance works.
- Maximize maintenance cost efficiency by implementing best practice Asset Care Strategies and utilizing departmental resources.
- Provide guidance and support to maintenance and other operational employees using MEX and best practice asset care systems and processes.
- Execute the development and maintenance of the site's Computerized Maintenance Management System (MEX) database.
- Lead the development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for work management.
About You
- Trade qualification / relevant experience, preferably in an FMCG or Similar environment
- Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems (ideally MEX)
- Ability to work within a very fast-paced manufacturing site and able to multitask & prioritize
- Be Highly collaborative to influence, engage, and effectively leverage the knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
