Join our esteemed curatorial department in an exciting Maintenance Role! You'll play a crucial part in building and maintaining systems for our world-class displays of coral, fish, and other marine life.
Reporting directly to the curator, you'll work alongside a dedicated team passionate about the marine environment.
Ideally you would have some or all of the below skills:
- Proven technical abilities.
- General building maintenance experience.
- Skills in metal welding, carpentry, and basic PVC plumbing.
- Practical experience with pumps, motors, and reticulation or construction projects.
- Excellent time management and supervisory skills within a small team environment.
- Scuba Diving Qualifications
Essential
- Availability to work on weekends, public holidays, and during school holidays or busy periods.
- Willingness to be on-call after hours when needed.
- Strong knowledge and passion for the marine environment.
Desirable
- Boating experience.
- Trade qualifications in either metal welding or carpentry.
- Proficient, experienced SCUBA diver or a strong desire to become one.
