About the Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance and Safety Engineer to join our close-knit and dynamic team in Keysborough. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, including machine monitoring, statistical data collection, and regular maintenance and cleaning. You will have a firm safety focus to ensure all team members, contractors, and visitors are in a safe environment.
You will have previous experience working with new & and planned projects that require engineering input to ensure all statutory standards are met. You will have a keen eye for detail and be able to operate with excellent efficiency. In this role, you will be comfortable completing and maintaining all safety risk assessments, registers, and SOPs to adhere to compliance in our workplace.
Skills and Requirements
- Electrical/Mechanical Trades Qualified OR bachelor's in Engineering
- Managing preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
- Conform to statutory standards with a view to long-term plant reliability
- Project Management and working with metrics, budgets, and completion dates
- Past Contractor Management experience
- Understanding of safety inductions and issuing permits
- Co-ordinate and oversee the fabrication of minor build projects and upgrades.
- Past EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Management of safety systems and procedures
- Mechanically minded - Confident to troubleshoot
- Have excellent communication skills and time management
- Ability to understand and give clear directions
- Confident in Excel & knowledge in SAP4 Hana
