The Opportunity:
As our Rentals Asset Manager, you'll be on the front lines of our rentals business. You will be running logistics, handling quotes, and managing the fleet, in general – everything that needs to happen to get the right gear to our customers on time and in shape, and back again. Our customers are everything from small aspiring filmmakers to large production companies, so you need to be comfortable with both. Really you are there to give them the advice and equipment to help some of the coolest TV, sports, broadcast and cinema in Australia get to screen.
This is very much a senior role as well. You will need to be the right hand of our National Rentals Manager and help him run the show. So, we are looking for a gun who is driven and wants to be part of a fast paced and exciting team.
What You'll Do:
Manage rental inquiries and bookings: From initial client contact to equipment return, you'll be a point person for rental-related communications. This includes responding to inquiries, processing bookings, and coordinating pickup and return schedules.
Coordinate equipment logistics and bookings: Planning and booking freight, cross hiring where necessary, and ensuring that we have the correct gear in the right spot to fulfill our bookings.
Prepare rental packages: Assemble equipment packages based on client needs, making sure that each rental includes all necessary gear and accessories.
Killer Customer Service: Build strong relationships with our clients by providing knowledgeable assistance and support throughout the rental process, and making sure that bookings are closed off on completion.
Admin, yes I said admin: Keep track of rental agreements, invoices, and payments to ensure smooth transactions and accurate record-keeping. You'll also help with other administrative duties as needed to support the overall operation of the rental department such as bringing equipment into and out of our system, and keeping insurance registers up to date.
Who You Are:
You are an industry person with tons of hands-on experience with video and production equipment
- Great with organisation, logistics, tracking and general attention to detail that the average person just doesn’t have
- Someone who is generally passionate about the gear that we get to work with. If you are the right person, you know who you are
- This is a team environment, but we are looking for a standout who is as comfortable leading as they are following
- Friendly, approachable and fun to be around. You are going to spend a lot of time talking to customers. So if you are an introvert, this is not going to work out.
Less exciting but still important.
- You need to have good skills with the Microsoft Office Suite and if you had worked previously with RentalPoint software, that would be a plus.
- You will have worked around TV/film and video equipment in the past. Knowing your way around the technology is helpful in this role, so there are some minimum expectations, and you will understand the time critical nature of the business.
