About the Role
Based in the Santos Brisbane office, this role provides mechanical support and technical guidance to the field for break in works to ensure clear scope, availability and reliability. This role will also be leading maintenance improvement activities and supporting the business for rapid return to plans.
Key accountabilities include:
- Technical leadership and direction where issues / scenarios have multiple options or outcomes.
- Provide frontline technical response to mechanical support engineering technical queries.
- Provide specialist technical support to the assets across all surface facilities equipment in all disciplines, with primary focus on mechanical and rotating equipment.
- Manage return to plan (RTP) events. Engaging specialist technical support within internal teams, external teams, and contractors.
- Stewardship of Risk Based Work Selection ensuring the correct priority is set for corrective works.
- Provide input to engineering on the effectiveness and suitability of the RMP/IMP based on maintenance program and corrective maintenance work performed.
About You
We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Specialist (Mechanical) with a strong work ethic and ability to work seamlessly as part of a multi-disciplined team, along with:
- 5+ years' experience within the hydrocarbon production, refining or petrochemical industry
- Previous experience within Project Management, Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering is favorable
- Working knowledge of pumps, turbines, compressors, dehydration, well lease skids, linear infrastructure, and their application in the hydrocarbon industry.
- Compliance with company policies and industry standards
- Dedication to maintaining a safe working environment at Santos
- Engineering Degree or equivalent industry experience
- Trade Certificate qualifications in a Mechanical trade
