Specialist Mechanical Concentrator - Fixed Plant Maintenance

Are you passionate about driving excellence in gold mining operations? Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of essential equipment in Porgera JV’s processing plant environment, including Mills, Pumps, Float banks, Autoclaves and Oxygen plants? We are inviting applications for the position of Specialist Mechanical Concentrator in Fixed Plant Maintenance.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintenance Planning: Developing and implementing maintenance strategies for various Fixed Plant equipment, including Mills, Pumps, Float banks, Autoclaves, and Oxygen plants. 
• Routine Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on the mentioned equipment to prevent breakdowns, optimize performance, and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnosing mechanical issues, identifying root causes of equipment failures, and executing corrective actions promptly to restore functionality. 
• Compliance and Safety: Ensuring that all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental protocols. Implementing best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Working closely with other departments, such as operations, engineering, and procurement, to coordinate maintenance activities, procure necessary parts or services, and optimize equipment performance.
• Training and Development: Providing guidance, training, and technical support to maintenance teams to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring efficient handling of equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost savings, or upgrades in equipment and maintenance processes. Implementing innovative solutions to enhance overall plant performance.

Requirements:

• Safety Champion: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety through proactive interactions, utilizing hazard identification tools, leading reporting, and active participation in safety incident investigations. Prioritizing the well-being of our team and the environment is paramount.
• Technical Expertise: Hold a Fitter and Turner trade qualification. An understanding of processing plant Fixed Plant Maintenance, including Mills, Pumps, Float banks, Autoclaves, and Oxygen plants is highly desirable.
• Leadership Skills: Showcase your leadership acumen with at least 2 years of proven experience, guiding and motivating teams towards operational excellence.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project, along with experience in SAP, Pronto, Oracle, or CMMS, coupled with a strong grasp of planning fundamentals.
• Certifications: Possessing High-Risk Work Certificates and a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) training certification is highly desirable.
