About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Facilities Manager, our Maintenance Team Leader will coordinate & oversee maintenance activities to ensure the condition and appearance of our facility are of the highest standard to provide a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
- Manage and undertake inspection & delivery of statutory, preventative & corrective maintenance of the facility
- Provide supervision and coordination of site contractors
- Ensure an aesthetic, compliant and safe working environment
- Maintain comprehensive & compliant records and reports
- Budget management and procurement processes
- Comply with current legislative standards around maintenance, aged care WHS and manual handling
- Coordinate, manage and/or undertake grounds and gardens maintenance and development tasks as required
- Provide on-call service including weekends as part of a rotating roster
What do we need from you?
- Knowledge of maintenance procedure and commercial and domestic construction practice
- Sound understanding of gardening and horticulture practices
- Understanding of Maintenance Management systems
- Moderate Computer literacy
- Experience in Contractor Management
- Expertise in managing site maintenance budgets, work orders and requisitions
- Knowledge & application of relevant legislation requirements, codes & standards
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Empathy towards aged persons and their aged care living requirements
- Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience
- Open manual driver’s licence (Class C)
- Current First Aid Certificate or ability to attain
