Based at our second Australian site in Kemps Creek (Western Sydney), this role will see you join our team of Electro-Mechanical Technicians and Equipment Operators within our brand-new (and fully air-conditioned!) automated distribution center.
With construction well underway, we are now looking for passionate and energetic individual to lead our team of Maintenance Specialists and Preventative Maintenance (PM) Technicians as our Maintenance Team Lead on a permanent, full-time basis our rotating roster, covering days, night, weekends, and public holidays, seven days a week.
Whether you bring experience supervising teams or possess qualifications in Electrics, Mechanics, or Plant Technology, your contributions will be valued and recognized. About you:
- Experience in leading and motivating a team effectively, delegate tasks, and providing direction in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong understanding of maintenance processes, machinery, and equipment relevant to the plant/logistic industry.
- Clear communication skills to effectively convey instructions, provide feedback, and collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
- Previous experience maintaining material handling systems in a manufacturing environment, distribution center, field service or a related technical role.
- Qualification in Electrics, Mechanics, and Plant Technology or minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Electrical or Mechanical Trade qualifications highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement practices and methodologies.
- Expertise in spare parts inventory management and replenishment processes.
Your new role:
- Lead, mentor, and coach maintenance specialists and PM teams in maintenance activities.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of the warehouse automated material handling system.
- Foster innovation, commitment, and success within the Maintenance Team through coaching and development.
- Continuously evaluate system performance, driving improvements in uptime and efficiency.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules to meet or exceed production targets.
- Manage the installation of new or refurbished equipment and components.
- Ensure compliance with safety, HR policies, and best practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Support the Maintenance Manager in overall team leadership and act as a proxy in their absence.
