AddressOur team in SA has an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our family orientated and vibrant team.
At AWB Co we work across SA & WA on various government and commercial contracts undertaking everything from day-to-day maintenance through to quoted works. There is no need for our technicians to come into the office every morning, we operate via a mobile field-based system.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out work inclusive of the following:
- General maintenance and repair works
- Site inspections / audits and reports
- Installation of equipment and appliances
- Small plastering, patching, and painting projects
- Routine landscaping and gardening work including paving repairs, gutter cleaning etc.
- Removal and disposal of goods from site including site cleans
- Assisting tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance repairs
- Identifying and reporting the need for major repairs
- Strict adherence to all company safety regulations
- Being available on the on call roster for after hours priority calls
- Completing paperwork via mobile device including assigning time and materials for the admin staff to accurately invoice works
This role requires frequent travel around Adelaide suburbs to complete maintenance works for our key clients.
Preferred candidates will have the following:
- Current trade qualification
- Experience working on government maintenance contracts or in the commercial sector is preferred but not essential
- A can do attitude and work ethic
- A strong eye for detail, great organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Construction white card and current drivers licence
- Police clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Own standard trade tools. Any speciality tools will be provided by AWB
- High work standards with great attention to detail
- Commitment to client service and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- A strong commitment to safety and the ability to write, review and comply with JSA’s, SWMS and other relevant safety processes.
