About the role
Thiess is seeking an experienced Maintenance Trainer at our Peak Downs mine located 6km south-east of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Manage the site training needs for the maintenance department
- Onsite authorisations and training of maintenance personal
- Escorts and deliveries of daily freight, parts and plant throughout the mine
This position is ideally suited to someone who has worked in the mining or an allied industry and has the following skills:
- Current Trainer Assessor qualification is desirable but not essential
- Experience in a Maintenance Trainer Assessor role on an operational mine site
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Have high standards for personal safety and for others
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and an enthusiastic attitude
- Work autonomously an in a team environment
- Relevant experience in a similar role in a mining environment
- Hold a current HR Non-Slew Crane Licence highly desirable
- Hold a current HR Forklift Licence highly desirable
- Tilt tray operation experience desirable but not essential
- Annual income between $149,257.16 and $152,813.96 (+Super) depending on qualifications and experience
- Access to fully funded flights from Brisbane
- 7/7 even time roster
