2 x Fixed Term Contracts to June 2026 available within our Transport Maintenance Team.  We are seeking to appoint 2 motivated individuals to join the team as Maintenance Workers - Road Pavements.

How you’ll make a difference

As a Maintenance Worker Road Pavements (Asphalt), under the general direction of the Leading Hand, you will form part of a work team that performs specialist tasks associated with the maintenance of the City's road infrastructure. Primarily, you will:

• Work with asphalt and the operation of plant-associated with pavement repair.
• Perform skilled and specialist tasks associated with the maintenance of the City's roads infrastructure.
• Operate minor equipment and machinery.
• Control public at worksites.

What you bring to your new role

• The ability to interact with others in a manner conducive to creating a cooperative team environment.
• Sound physical health to satisfactorily perform the physically demanding duties of this position.
• Demonstrated numeracy and literacy skills commensurate with the requirements of the position.
• MR class drivers' licence (or higher).
• General Construction Induction (White/Blue) card.
• Experience in maintenance and/or construction operations including but not limited to road repair flexible pavements.
• Experience in the operation of minor equipment and machinery
