How you’ll make a difference
As a Maintenance Worker Road Pavements (Asphalt), under the general direction of the Leading Hand, you will form part of a work team that performs specialist tasks associated with the maintenance of the City's Road Pavements. Primarily, you will:
- Work with asphalt and the operation of plant-associated with pavement repair.
- Perform skilled and specialist tasks associated with the maintenance of the City's roads pavements.
- Operate minor equipment and machinery.
- Control public at worksites.
What you bring to your new role
- You have the ability to interact with others in a manner conducive to creating a cooperative team environment.
- You have sound physical health to satisfactorily perform the physically demanding duties of this position.
- You possess demonstrated numeracy and literacy skills commensurate with the requirements of the position.
- MR class drivers' licence (or higher).
- General Construction Induction (White/Blue) card.
- Experience in maintenance and/or construction operations including but not limited to road repair flexible pavements.
- Experience in the operation of minor equipment and machinery.
