Your Impact:

As a Major Grants Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful coordination and delivery of reporting outcomes for Major Grants projects across Good Sammy Enterprises.  This position is a part time two-year role at 0.8FTE on a fixed term contract (with possible extension) to ensure successful and proactive relationships and coordination between Good Sammy Enterprises and its Major Grants partners. You will be playing a key role in fostering relationships both internally and externally to achieve mutually beneficial grant outcomes for funders and Good Sammy Enterprises.

What you'll do:

  • This role will specifically focus on the timely and accountable delivery of reporting and acquittal milestones across our major multiple-year grants.
  • Collaborate across the organisation to provide grant coordination expertise, support and ensure successful and timely delivery of milestones.
  • Act as the liaison point between Good Sammy Enterprises, the major grant funders, and researchers/evaluators, ensuring a collegial, positive and proactive relationship.
  • Managing the budgets of the key grants and overseeing all financial reporting including cost allocation.
  • Ensure grant outcomes are achieved by:
    • convening, chairing and minuting meetings of key project stakeholders to review grant progress and make grant decisions.
    • mapping milestones, timelines and status reporting to the Executive Committee and funders.
    • managing, monitoring and reporting on budgets associated with the specific grants.
    • writing and delivering all necessary reports (e.g. quarterly progress reports, annual reports, acquittals), in consultation with the Grant Administrator.
    • documenting evidence of marketing, communications and other benefits being actioned (e.g. social media posts, speech notes, logo use).
    • Monitoring evaluation/research progress and milestone achievements and assisting in connecting individual grant project leads and recipients with evaluators as required.
  • Liaise closely with marketing, events and communications colleagues to develop a calendar of promotional benefits and ensure those noted in the specific grant agreements are actioned (e.g. invitation to events, social media announcements, media release promotion, photography, videography).
  • Commit to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with Good Sammy’s Code of Conduct and Values, and our mission to provide employment and pathway opportunities for people with disability.

Who you will work alongside:

You will report directly to the Executive Manager – Marketing, Fundraising and Partnerships, and work collaboratively with the Grant Administrator, Finance team, individual grant project leads, major grant funders, Marketing, Fundraising and Partnership team members, and other internal and external stakeholders. You will foster relationships with grant funders, grant evaluation partners, and other fundraising / grant stakeholders as required.


What you'll bring:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build, nurture and maintain strong collaborative, proactive relationships across all levels and sectors.
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrable experience and/or understanding of grants’ management requirements and processes.
  • Highly organised with strongly developed project management skills and reporting experience. 
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and comprehension skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skill.
  • Strong proficiency with using Microsoft Office suite.
