Job Description
We are currently seeking a compassionate and physically fit Male Support Worker with experience in Manual Handling, hoist operation, and Personal Care to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing tailored support to individuals with diverse needs, ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing are prioritized. Candidates must be between the age of 18-35 (Client request)
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including Personal Care, mobility assistance, and transferring using hoists and other equipment.
- Implement safe Manual Handling techniques to support clients with mobility limitations, minimizing the risk of injury for both clients and staff.
- Provide compassionate and respectful support to clients during Personal Care tasks, always maintaining their dignity and autonomy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans based on clients' unique needs and preferences.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' physical and emotional wellbeing, ensuring timely intervention and support.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a similar role, with specific experience in Manual Handling, hoist operation, and Personal Care.
- Strong understanding of safe Manual Handling practices and techniques.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities or health conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license
- Valid NDIS screening check
- Valid Working with children check
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Valid Police Clearance
