We are seeking a full-time Chef to work in our Residential Aged Care Facility.
The purpose of the Chef's role is to provide a high standard of quality meals, ensuring there are sufficient and variable meal choices, whilst catering to the dietary preferences and nutritional requirements of our residents.
This full-time position is a rotating roster, consisting of a 10-days on, 4-days off, with hours 6:30 am - 3 pm and 9 am - 5 pm. Days and shifts can be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Our ideal applicant will be dedicated and passionate about building relationships, with the ability to provide our residents with a high standard of quality meals ensuring there is sufficient meal choice and that dietary preferences needs are catered for.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Certificate 4 in Commercial Cookery (min )
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- HACCP training completed or a willingness to complete.
- Experience in the Catering/ Hospitality Industry.
- Demonstration experience in menu planning.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising kitchen staff.
- Current National Police Check.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Guidelines for Food Services to Vulnerable Persons (NSW Food Authority).
- A strong knowledge and commitment to Workplace Safety.
- A commitment to workplace equality and equal opportunities.
- Experience in an Aged Care environment.
- Computer literate
