About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the Corporate Finance team. You can enjoy working in a close-knit team within a high growth organisation that genuinely cares for its people. This role will be critical in ensuring the financial affairs are properly controlled and reported for the companies owned and operated by the Group. This includes meeting all statutory obligations regarding the preparation and lodgement of periodical management accounts and returns, and providing timely, relevant, and accurate information to Operations Finance Manager.
Key Accountabilities
Financial and Management Accounting
- Ensure accurate, timely and reconciled monthly reports and annual reporting requirements are met.
- Maintain general ledger integrity of Newbook and support AR Team in posting daily revenue import to JDE.
- Accounting for new acquisitions including settlement adjustments and training of staff at site on Ingenia finance policy and procedures.
- Thoroughly review the rent increase mechanisms and ensure completion in a timely manner
- Resales accounting (verifying the deposits, settlement statement, JDE entry for resales income, payment of staff commissions and Resales P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliation of deposits).
- Preparation and coordination of ad hoc reporting and special projects.
Budgeting and Performance Monitoring/Management Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of budgets/management reports, analysing budget, forecast and actual results for the Group.
- Review and analyse operating results in relation to costs, budgets and operating policies.
- After approval, ensure major capital expenditure is incurred in compliance with budgets and approval
Tax
- Assist the internal Tax Team with the preparation of the annual income, fringe benefits tax returns and tax depreciation schedules.
- Coordinate the preparation of monthly BAS and payroll tax returns when required.
About You
- Confident in decision making and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to adapt and respond to changes emerging in a rapid paced environment.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and the subsequent pro-active management of such opportunities.
- Understanding of property and taxation accounting issues.
- Completed Accounting degree and working towards CPA.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
