SSH Group are seeking a high performing, motivated and enthusiastic Management Accountant to join our finance team on a permanent full-time basis.

We are committed to investing in the success and development of Australia, for Australian people.The successful candidate, as the Management Account for the Equipment Division will be responsible for overseeing the Assistant Accountants executing the day-to-day financial management. Plus prepare regular reports and analysis for the Equipment Division leadership and CFO required for the ongoing assessment and decision making for the financial performance of the Division.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage balance sheets and profit and loss items for Equipment Division on a day-to-day basis
- Provide business performance analysis, strategy, and asset modelling support to the CFO and Business Leadership team as needed.
- Prepare and produce various financial reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually for the Equipment Division
- Provide commentary on monthly variances to budget and KPI/targets.
- Generate weekly margin/revenue flash reports and manage weekly cashflow reporting.
- Cultivate and maintain business relationships with clients from a financial perspective.
- Manage banking relationships and funding providers.
- Maintain effective external relationships with other providers such as insurance brokers, advisers, etc.
- Record financial transactions within Xero, operating systems, and databases as needed.
- Oversee client invoicing and proactively manage debtors.
- Review general ledger reconciliations to ensure effective maintenance of the general ledger.
- Review and approve creditor payment runs.
- Review and update client information and files
- Ensure all ATO lodgements are made promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data integrity within the Xero accounts system.
- Educate and assist management in workflow processes, reporting, and scheduling.
- Manage and direct Assistant Accountant where required and ensure required work is carried out.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards
- 5+ years’ experience in financial/management accounting role in the equipment rental or similar industry
- Experience with Xero accounting system
- Valid WA Driver License
- Full working rights in Australia
- Police Clearance – no more than 3 months old
- Medium/advanced level of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
