We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Management Accountant for a Not-For-Profit organisation. Our client is committed to supporting individuals and families in need across the community.
Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing strategic recommendations to drive business growth and enhance profitability.
Key Accountabilities:
- Business partnering which includes comprehensive reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Assisting in budgeting and forecasting.
- Preparation and facilitation of acquittals and acquittal lodgements.
- Contribution to performance monitoring through detailed analysis and commentaries, supporting budget development and strategic decision-making.
- Leadership in resolving financial performance management issues, utilizing robust analysis.
- Guiding and influencing business case prioritization to align with finance strategy.
- Monthly reconciliation and review of bank and GL statements.
- Assistance with end-of-month and annual financial reporting.
- Periodic support in debtor follow-up activities.
- Maintenance of accurate financial information including service and funding data entry.
- Timely resolution of service/funding queries, issues, and discrepancies.
- Collaboration with Finance Manager and Director on ad hoc tasks, reporting, and projects.
- Compliance with policies and procedures, including job-specific requirements and hazard reporting.
- Additional duties as directed.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in management accounting or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial planning and analysis software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
