No 1 Roofing & Building Supplies is one of the largest wholesale suppliers of metal roofing and building products, servicing Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter, and Mid North Coast regions. We’re looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join the highly successful and growing team based at Narrabeen, on a full-time basis.
You will be reporting directly to the COO and working closely with the operations throughout the business. Further to providing business decision support, you will be responsible for the completion of accurate monthly financial and management accounts in relation to the company investments, risks, budgeting, planning and strategizing, lead in ad-hoc projects and other assignments as delegated from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering exceptional service to our internal customers, proactively working together to manage expense budgets, identifying opportunities for savings and provide recommendations for improvements.
2. Development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasting for the business unit
3. End of Month / End of Year Preparations and Reports.
4. Ensuring appropriate accounting processes and procedures are utilized in a timely and accurate manner.
5. Delivering efficiencies in accounts processing tasks.
6. Income Audit.
7. Supporting the company to manage its risk and maintain high levels of corporate governance and compliance by producing KPI and management reporting, papers and reports to aid decision making at the Directors.
About you:
To be successful, you will have:
• at least two years’ experience in a similar environment
• Bachelor level degree in Accounting
• Familiarity with Micronet, Therefore or Harmoniq systems
• A proven knowledge base of the Australian Accounting Standards and regulations.
• High level of proficiency with computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices, procedures, operations, and legislation.
• Problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Honesty, integrity, and discretion.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of the broader team.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport.
