Form of workThis role is based in Berkeley Vale on the Central Coast - Hybrid by arrangement.
This role will provide management and engineering project managers with the financial support required for them to effectively control and manage their projects. The role will also be an integral part in the development of a capex reporting and cashflow management system.
- Review and redesign the current Capex recording and reporting system.
- Assist with quotation estimates during the design/planning phases.
- Assist with business case development and capital funding requests.
- Prepare Monthly Project Cost Reports and associated variance analysis reports.
- Produce and monitor transaction reports for Purchase Orders / Goods Received / Subcontractor & Supplier Invoices.
- Assist with month end processes – ledger accuracy, accruals, budget transfers etc.
- Assist procurement and engineering personnel with correct cost coding of expenditure.
- Co-ordinate monthly reviews with Engineers for Actual vs Planned cost.
- Assist Engineers with Forecast Cost to Complete calculations.
- Oversee the preparation of Project Cash Flow Forecasts.
- Assist with the annual Capital Expenditure budget process.
- Complete Business case reviews for ROI.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in recording project expenditure and updating asset registers.
- Adhoc duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in business/commerce with a major in accounting.
- Attained or studying towards CPA, CA, or equivalent professional status.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing FMCG environment and/or and engineering environment would be advantageous.
- Experience in cashflow forecasting.
- High level of financial analysis skills, together with numerical skills and accuracy.
- Experience with a large ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent collaborative interpersonal skills, characterised by clarity, empathy and integrity.
- Ability to be self-directed and work autonomously with initiative and good judgement.
- Effective and authentic team player.
- The ability to effectively manage competing demands and priorities.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
