The Management Accountant contributes to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing financial tasks, budgeting and accounting and driving performance across the Bostock’s Brothers business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for part time work (between 25-32 hours). Hours can be flexible and be discussed to fit you and the business needs
Responsibilities include;
- Ensuring the timely delivery of financial reports in accordance with NZIFRS
- Ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with the annual budget
- Preparing and analysing weekly reports
- Reviewing and approving new product costings
- Implementing monthly variance reports
- Provide training, learning and development in line with succession planning opportunities
- Oversee continuous improvement initiatives for policies, processes, and practices
- Oppurtunity to partner with the business
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, commerce, or business management
- 3 years plus accounting experience
- Previous experience within in a FMCG environment would be preferred
- Strong technical accounting ability and knowledge of NZIFRS
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills – capable of using formulas and pivot tables to analyse data
- Experience with ERP systems
- A high level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and communication skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and be influential with stakeholders
