The role
This is an exciting new position for a motivated accountant looking to accelerate their professional/technical/interpersonal skill to the next level. This role offers a lot of diversity within all accounting and finance elements, supporting the financial controller with a mix of accounting, reporting and administrative tasks that help facilitate the organisations day-to-day operations and working with key internal and external stakeholders nationally.
Your duties will include the following:
- Preparation of monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget and forecasts for each cost centre
- Providing analysis, commentary, and dashboards to support management reporting
- Preparation of cashflow forecasts and assistance with investment analysis
- Play a lead role in regular budget reviews and compiling the annual budget with senior management
- Analysing trends and financial performance across 3 partner businesses
- Month-end accounting, including completion of monthly accruals, journals, fixed asset, and depreciation schedules
- Add-hock report reporting requirement
- Preparation of BAS,
- Assisting in the preparation of year-end Audits and statutory accounts
- Fixed asset management
- Forex tracking
Personal Competencies
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team
· Account/Finance Bachelor Degree
· CA or CPA – or working towards
· Previous experience in a similar position
· High level of computer literacy - MS Office and Excel
· Experience using MYOB Advance is ideal but not essential
· Great attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to prioritise multiple tasks
