About the Opportunity
We are on the hunt for a dynamic Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in Prestons. Focusing on the commercial side of our business, we are looking for an outgoing self-motivated, and driven professional to contribute significantly by providing vital accounting information, enabling strategic decision-making success for managers within organisations.
Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analyst, the primary duties will be:
- preparing month-end Gross/Net sales reports with price-volume analysis for AU/NZ
- handling month-end tasks such as rebates, RCTIs, Gross margin, SG&A, and Warranty reports & Journals
- managing, compiling, and producing monthly analyses against prior year and budget, offering explanations for current month performance and significant variances
- assisting in Estimate/Budget preparation and submission
- handling Budget Marketing reporting in BPC
- preparing monthly budgets and aiding in quarterly forecasting reports & group submission
- analysing financial performance against key business metrics/indicators, documenting relevant financial highlights to help management track progress against budgets and predict full-year performance expectations
- analysing daily sales performance and preparing/circulating reports to key stakeholders
- assisting with internal and external auditors' requests and supporting compliance matters (e.g., SOX), maintaining databases of customers, contractors, and builder rebates
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary accounting qualification (CPA/CA qualification or studying towards one)
- ERP experience (preferably Movex, M3 or SAP)
- well-developed analytical and organizational skills
- computer literate with well-developed MS Office skills (Advanced Excel)
- sound financial skills
- established SQL skills
- ability to work both in a team and autonomously, Highest standards of accuracy and precision
- strong commercial acumen, Passion for quality and continuous improvement
- ability to work well under pressure, have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak
- ability to communicate confidently and clearly at all levels
- analytical and problem-solving skills, Project Management experience an advantage
- ability to be forward-thinking, proactive and to think creatively to identify and drive improvement opportunities
