Management Accountant

Michael Page have partnered with an ASX listed mining services company located East of the Perth CBD to recruit a Management Accountant into their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Client Details

With a presence across Australia and Asia, our client is a market leader within the mining services sector and due to company growth is now looking to strengthen its projects-based management accounting function.

Description

Reporting into the Finance Manager and Senior Management Accountants, the key duties of this role include;

• Prepare, review and analyse operational monthly results
• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders - Project Team, Commercial Managers and General Manager and communicating financial information to them
• Assist in yearly budget preparation and quarterly reforecasts
• Liaise regarding project cost controls
• Preparation of month end reconciliations
• Financial analysis
• Provide commentary on operational month end reporting packs

Profile

The successful candidate will have a strong background in a similar Management Accountant or Project Accountant role within commerce. Key traits will also include;

• CA/CPA Qualification (required)
• Strong commercial acumen
• Firms training/education (desired)
• ERP system exposure (desired)
• Ability to meet competing deadlines
• Excellent stakeholder relations/communication skills
