Experience Management Accountant Needed
Actwell Trading Company Pty Ltd is a leading wholesale supplier of project lighting, offering commercial quality fittings, LEDs and drivers for residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projects across Australia. Our services include project lighting, lighting consultation, and architectural lighting.
We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to work with us. This is a full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable person.
Location: Rydalmere, NSW
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide advice on associated record-keeping and compliance requirements.
2. Prepare and present financial statements to the company.
3. Prepare and present performance-based reports on finance, assets, budgets, cost management, pricing, risk management to assist management team with decision making.
4. Conduct compliance-based financial reporting, auditing, insolvency and accounting information systems and advise on associated record-keeping requirements.
5. Examine the organization’s operating costs and the consequential income and expenses.
6. Provide advice on business plans, structures, and operations.
7. Assist in formulating accounting and budgetary policies.
8. Maintain and update internal control systems.
9. Provide assurance in relation to the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and compliance with the relevant statutory requirements.
10. Liaise with the financial accountant, and other stakeholders, including management team of the company.
11. Variance analysis around actual results compared to the budget and forecasts.
12. Month end accounting, including reconciliations and journals.
13. Taking part in systems’ and process improvement initiatives.
14. Maintain strong team relationships amongst colleagues and community groups.
15. Provide ad-hoc administrative support.
Experience
· At least 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
· Holds at least relevant degree in Accounting/Business/Finance.
Skills required:
· Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant standards.
· Ability to analyse complex reports.
· Ability to effectively communicate accounting concepts to non-finance staffs.
· Organised and structured in daily duties.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate business partnering.
· Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
· Intermediate to advanced computer skills such as Excel and other accounting softwares.
Annual salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation
