Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative and effective library services at Charles Darwin University (CDU)

About the Position
As the Manager Academic and Research Services, you will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative and effective library services in support of teaching, learning, research and engagement objectives of the University. You will contribute to the overall analysis, planning and management of library services, including the development and implementation of action plans.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress to postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of extensive experience and education/training Information Management
  • Demonstrated skills in supervising and managing dispersed teams including the ability to manage performance and drive excellence in service delivery.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to advise staff and Researchers on topics including (but not limited to) scholarly publishing and communication, research data management and Research impact.
  • Lead the team in partnership with academics in the areas of curriculum design, digital literacies and open education resources.
  • Proven organisational skills, including experience in enhancing stakeholder engagement.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills including project management and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of Academic and Research support services and in the application of technologies to develop and improve services

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at Professional level 8. The base salary will be in the range of $102,831 to $116,253 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $120,312 to $136,016 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
