Hours per fortnight73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties- Manage the appointment process for statutory office holders, Senior Executive Service officers and Board and Tribunal members.
- Provide authoritative advice in relation to the interpretation of legislation and prepare complex documents regarding statutory Appointments and related matters.
- Oversee the Department’s management of applications for assessed disclosure under the Right to Information Act 2009, including the allocation of requests and the provision of advice to delegated officers in the Office of the Secretary.
- Regularly liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Departmental and Ministerial staff and members of the general public.
- Undertake research and prepare advice on complex matters associated with the functions of the Office of the Secretary, including the appointment and management of Justices of the Peace.
- Actively participate and contribute to the implementation, development and enhancement of Office of the Secretary initiatives and undertake policy formulation as required.
A degree in Law from a recognised tertiary institution.
