About the Role
Join us in an exhilarating role where you'll spearhead strategic environmental approvals risk management for Santos' executive and asset management.
As our Manager Approvals and Tenures, you'll lead the charge in developing and executing external environmental approvals across our dynamic operations spanning Eastern Australia and PNG. You'll forge essential partnerships with government agencies, conservation groups, communities, and stakeholders, enriching our reputation and driving our business objectives forward.
Key accountabilities include:
- Development and delivery of primary and high-risk secondary environmental approvals.
- Development of whole of lifecycle environmental approval strategies.
- Coordination, delivery and management of environmental impact. assessments and technical scope of work to support business objectives.
- Promote and raise awareness of at all levels of the organization, of the potential impact of emerging environmental approvals issues and risks.
- Delivery and management of regulatory, statutory and internal environmental reporting.
- Management and leadership in tenures, stakeholder engagement and consultation.
- Provision of expert environmental approvals and regulatory engagement advice.
About You
Essential experience:
- Significant experience managing and delivering complex approvals within similar organisational context.
- Experience leading teams of environmental professionals within the oil and gas/energy transition sector.
- Partner collaboratively, engage and influence across multiple leadership stakeholder groups.
- Experience in management position including strong leadership capability.
- Strong working knowledge of Approvals requirements.
- Significant demonstrated experience in large, complex organisations and high-risk industry.
Qualifications
Essential qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Natural Resource Management, Environment Science or Equivalent.
