The RoleThe
Manager Boating Programs will have an oversight role across the whole of the Victorian Fisheries Authority's (VFA) boating program.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the forward planning for the program including preparation of the annual Boating Action Plan
- Lead and manage budgeting and reporting across the boating program
- Be a key contact responding to various Government information
- Work closely with the Manager Boating Project Delivery to maintain a detailed understanding of all infrastructure projects, and will work closely with VFA executives and staff across the organisation
- Lead a team of staff that manages grants processes as part of the Better Boating Fund, and that supports procurement and business administration processes in an efficient and well-governed way
- Liaise with key stakeholders in government and across the boating sector
The TeamThe VFA is a statutory authority established to facilitate the effective management of Victoria's fisheries resources in a coordinated and strategic way that ensures their ongoing sustainability. The VFA functions to ensure that the Government, the recreational and commercial fishing sectors, and the Victorian community can share in and obtain the benefits from sustainable fisheries management.The VFA has around 190 employees located in the Melbourne CBD, metropolitan Melbourne and across regional Victoria.
