The Business Transformation Unit at Bayside is responsible for the provision of human resources, organisational development, learning and development, safety and business improvement. The team of 30 is responsible for developing and implementing our strategic plans to transform Bayside.
The unit has a strong culture of high performance, with a track record of delivering projects focused on our people, processes and world class technology. Organisational culture plays a critical role in the team, to ensure our people are supported to continue to deliver on our vision of providing exceptional customer service.
Over the last 3 years, the unit has delivered world first Smart CCTV projects, a completely new safety management system with technology and people at its core, regulations transformation program focused on digitisation and new initiatives that have positively impacted our organisational culture. The team also prides itself on it’s delivery and service internally to the organisation and acting as trusted advisors across the organisation.
About the role
As the Manager Business Transformation, you will be responsible for leading a significant portfolio focused on delivering measurable improvement to our organisation and customers. Reporting to the General Manager, the role is perfectly placed to influence and guide our Executive Committee through the significant transformation program underway at Bayside.
The role is pivotal to integrating our organisational vision and mission through our people, customers and leadership team. Through delivering on people and change initiatives, the role will be responsible for delivering an integrated approach to business transformation.
The Manager Business Transformation leads an exciting portfolio within the organisation, where one day is never like the next.
About you
You will be a visionary leader, who is capable of developing strategic initiatives, and quantifying them through action orientated deliverables. Working closely with your unit of approximately 30 staff, you will partner with the Executive Committee to foster innovation, a human centred approach to service design and workforce reform.
You will have a strong history of providing quality advice to complex situations. You are comfortable in an agile environment, where you will be expected to operate across industrial relations issues to innovation to organisational culture.
Your ability to influence and negotiate both internally and externally is a must. You will be comfortable taking a lead role in working with our community in smart city projects, work with our unions to deliver workplace reform and work with internal stakeholders to deliver a culture of continuous improvement.
