Job description
Some responsibilities of the Manager (Category and Strategic Planning) include:
* The development, implementation and management of a category management framework specific to TMR's centre-led, locally delivered procurement model.
* Lead, manage and deliver category management initiatives for TMR, ensuring strategies and plans are underpinned by advanced data analysis and extensive stakeholder engagement.
* Establish and embed category performance targets through the integration of governance, processes and controls in a centre-led procurement model.
* Lead, manage and deliver TMR's Strategic Procurement Planning, including industry and stakeholder engagement, and supplier relationship management.
* Work collaboratively and cross functionally to implement category management strategies that deliver TMR and whole of government procurement objectives (such as Innovation, Social and Indigenous Procurement).
* Actively manage individual and team performance and provide supportive leadership to develop a sustainable and capable workforce.
* Lead, manage and continue to build skills, knowledge and aptitude of the team to ensure expert, authoritative and timely category management advice and direction is provided to meet differing and evolving business needs.
* Adopt project management methodologies to drive and measure outcomes.
